Dental Technology For World Class Dental Care
From diagnosing oral health issues to making your smile look its best, there are many benefits to using the latest in dental technology. Dr. Robert Hessberger in Chicago, IL, serving Niles and Norridge, believes his patients deserve the absolute best care, which is why he uses today's most sophisticated innovations to make treatment safer, more efficient, and more effective. We invite you to learn more about how we use cutting-edge tools to help you achieve your very best smile.

To provide outstanding care, our practice uses:
CEREC®
CEREC® can create crowns and other restorations in a single visit. This is just one of the many innovations we use to provide timely relief and results that improve both the appearance and function of your smile.
Today's Most Advanced Dentistry Tools.
CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) technology employs computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) and computer-aided design (CAD) to create crowns and other restorations from a single block of ceramic (porcelain) in a single appointment. The technology produces durable and lifelike prosthetics. Dr. Hessberger uses this technology to save his patients valuable time. Because it uses digital impressions, it also eliminates the discomfort and mess of dental putty.
Cone Beam Scanning
This invaluable tool provides three-dimensional images of the jaw and other structures. This data is essential to assessing dental implant candidacy and planning safe, precise implant placement surgery.
DIAGNOdent™
In order to ensure that any degree of tooth decay located, Dr. Hessberger uses DIAGNOdent technology. The laser is completely safe and can identify decay in its very earliest stages, when it is easiest to treat.
If you are looking for a dental practice that offers same-day crowns or other advanced services benefitting both the health and appearance of your smile, we can be the source for all your dentistry needs.
DIODE Lasers
DIODE lasers are extremely precise and effective. These versatile lasers can treat canker sores, whiten teeth, or safely remove excess gum tissue. When used to remove soft tissue, DIODE lasers expedite healing time and minimize bleeding compared to the use of scalpels. This is because the laser seals the incision as it removes tissue. Also, since no manual tools contact the treatment area, the risk of infection is greatly reduced.
E4D Dentist System
The advanced ED4 Dentist system allows for the same-day manufacturing of crowns, veneers, and fillings, inlays, and onlays. With ED4, there is no need for messy impressions or long wait times for your restoration. Once the digital information is transferred to the milling machine, the restoration will be fabricated while you wait in the comfort of our office.
Perioscope
This endoscope allows Dr. Hessberger to assess the health of tissues below the surface of the gums. The instrument can help locate areas of infection (periodontitis). The Perioscope produces an image on a nearby computer monitor, providing a detailed view of these tissues. The perioscope can also help Dr. Hessberger diagnose potential problems on the tooth root surface that would be otherwise virtually impossible to detect using noninvasive techniques.
Waterlase®
The Waterlase laser incorporates jets of water and air to perform many of the same treatments as a drill but without the discomfort, heat, and vibrations. Waterlase allows for precise and comfortable treatment of decay. The tool can also treat soft tissues for cosmetic and restorative purposes. Best of all, it makes treatment so comfortable that local anesthetic usually is not necessary.
